House Roll Call 328 on
2021 House Bill 5486: Mandate certain merchant disclosures on eBay type sites

To amend the Michigan Consumer Protection Act to conform to the proposal in House Bill 5487. That bill would require “online marketplaces” to make disclosures regarding “high-volume third-party sellers” including the seller's full name, full physical address, a working phone number and email address, whether the seller makes, imports or resells consumer products and more. The bills appear targeted at larger merchants who present themselves as individuals on sites like eBay.
