2017 Senate Bill 440

House Roll Call 268: Passed

To revise details of where money collected by the Michigan Liquor Control Commission is earmarked. The bill would specify that it must be delivered to either the state general fund, to support state's operations as the sole wholesaler of spirits (vs. beer and wine), or to a state "Craft Beverage Council" (formerly the Grape and Wine Industry Council), which spends it on direct and indirect subsidies that benefit this industry.
