To authorize the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards to establish procedures for “qualified retired law enforcement officers” as defined in federal law to apply for and be granted a certificate identifying them as such, and qualifying them to carry a concealed pistol. The bill establishes regulations for the carrying of concealed pistols by these individuals.
