To increase the annual snowmobile registration tax from $25 to $50 (or $35 if paid early). In 2011, 2012, and 2013 the tax would increase to $60 (or $45 if paid early); and in 2014 on $75 (or $60 if paid early). After that the tax would rise automatically with inflation. The bill would require the money be used for grants to tax-exempt entities to purchase land and secure easements to establish permanent public snowmobile trails.
