To require the Department of Consumer and Industry Services to forward to an investigator by the next business day a "priority complaint" (as defined in the bill) regarding certain nursing home safety, admission, facility closure and transfer issues, or that a nursing home has violated a statute, administrative rule, or federal certification regulation of receiving a complaint regarding certain safety, admission, facility closure and transfer issues. The bill requires the department to maintain a manned 24-hour “hotline” to take such complaints.
