To tie-bar the bill to Senate Bill 734, meaning this bill cannot become law unless that one does also. SB 734 would repeal the 2012 law that greatly expanded the powers of emergency managers appointed by the state to reform the finances of fiscally failed school districts and municipalilties.
The amendment failed 9 to 27 in the Senate on April 28, 2016.
