Amendment offered by Sen. Tupac Hunter D-Detroit on October 6, 2011
To tie-bar the bill to Senate Bill 137, meaning this bill cannot become law unless that one does also. SB 137 would require schools to adopt a policy prohibiting harassment, intimidation, or bullying which meets standards specified in the bill, including banning conduct that “motivated by animus or by an actual or perceived characteristic”.
The amendment failed 15 to 23 in the Senate on October 6, 2011.
