To extend to current and former volunteer and part-time firefighters a presumption that certain types of cancer or other “occupational diseases” arose out of and in the course of employment for purposes of granting workers compensation benefits. A 2014 law did this for paid firefighters. The bill would also expand the definition of "occupational diseases" to include breast cancer, ovarian cancer, and cervical cancer.
