A bill to create the office of community violence intervention and prevention services; to prescribe the powers and duties of the office; and to prescribe the powers and duties of certain state officers and entities.
Senate Bills 1015 and 1016 would create a new state Office and grant program to coordinate, fund, and support community-based violence intervention and prevention efforts in Michigan, with structured reporting, evidence-based strategies, and appropriations-dependent funding.
