A bill to amend 1978 PA 368, entitled “Public health code,” by amending sections 16334, 17951, 17957, and 17959 (MCL 333.16334, 333.17951, 333.17957, and 333.17959), sections 16334, 17951, and 17957 as added by 2008 PA 471 and section 17959 as amended by 2016 PA 371, and by adding section 17959a.
Amends Michigan's Public Health Code to increase massage therapy licensure fees, establish a regulated apprenticeship pathway to licensure, narrow exemptions for alternative therapies, and require new rules for program implementation, contingent on related legislation.
