Senate Bills 518–519 of 2025 amend Michigan’s energy laws to establish a regulatory framework for community solar facilities, promote efficient electrification, and ensure broad and equitable access to renewable energy, particularly for low-income households, while also providing consumer protections and clarifying cost recovery and operational rules for electric providers.
