A bill to limit the powers of a water authority to place or acquire a lien for water, sewage, or stormwater management services on residential properties; and to repeal acts and parts of acts.
House Bill No. 5171 prohibits water authorities from placing or acquiring liens on residential properties for unpaid water, sewage, or stormwater management services and dissolves any such existing liens, repealing the previous law that allowed this practice.
