A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled “Natural resources and environmental protection act,” by amending section 3112 (MCL 324.3112), as amended by 2018 PA 667.
Senate Bill No. 817 amends Michigan’s environmental protection laws to prohibit waste discharges within one mile upstream of dwellings, tighten permit procedures, and reinforce ballast water management for oceangoing vessels to better protect water quality and prevent aquatic invasive species.
