A bill to amend 1851 PA 151, entitled “An act to provide for the government of the state university, and to repeal chapter 57 of the Revised Statutes of 1846,” by amending section 5 (MCL 390.5).
Requires Michigan state university regents to comply with local ordinances and zoning for land acquired after January 1, 2027, contingent on a constitutional amendment, thereby increasing local oversight of university land use.
