A bill to amend 1939 PA 280, entitled “The social welfare act,” by amending section 106 (MCL 400.106), as amended by 2023 PA 98, and by adding section 106c.
Increases the personal needs allowance for Medicaid-eligible nursing home residents to $200 per month and strengthens the state's ability to recover Medicaid costs from third-party settlements, while establishing new notification and procedural requirements.
