A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled “Natural resources and environmental protection act,” (MCL 324.101 to 324.90106) by adding section 52507.
House Bill No. 5642 requires public notification, comment, and departmental response before the Department of Natural Resources can clear-cut more than five acres of forest for non-forestry purposes, except in emergencies.
