A bill to amend 1976 PA 453, entitled “Elliott-Larsen civil rights act,” (MCL 37.2101 to 37.2804) by adding section 706.
House Bill No. 5508 amends the Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act to prohibit non-disclosure provisions in settlement agreements for sex-based civil rights claims, except to protect claimant identities or settlement amounts, thereby promoting transparency and accountability.
