A bill to amend 1993 PA 327, entitled “Tobacco products tax act,” by amending section 12 (MCL 205.432), as amended by 2022 PA 171.
House Bill No. 5087 reallocates a portion of Michigan's cigarette tax revenue from state capitol historic site maintenance to the Healthy Michigan Fund for smoking prevention programs, while maintaining existing funding structures for education, Medicaid, and public health.
