A bill to require certain establishments to hire bouncers only with certain training; to require the promulgation of rules; and to provide remedies.
House Bills 5060 and 5061 enhance safety and accountability in Michigan’s alcohol-serving establishments by requiring bouncers to complete positional asphyxiation prevention training, strengthening responsible vendor and server training standards, and linking compliance to liquor licensing regulations, with enforcement overseen by the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and contingent on related legislation.
