A bill to amend 2020 PA 312, entitled “Law enforcement and firefighter access to epinephrine act,” by amending the title and sections 1, 2, and 3 (MCL 28.821, 28.822, and 28.823).
House Bills 5049 through 5054 modernize Michigan’s health and safety laws regarding anaphylaxis and asthma response by requiring trained school staff and stocked epinephrine delivery systems, expanding authorized devices and eligible entities for emergency use, updating EMS and law enforcement protocols, allowing broader medication access for students and campers, and strengthening liability protections and training standards across educational, medical, and emergency settings, all contingent on the enactment of related legislation.
