A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled “Natural resources and environmental protection act,” (MCL 324.101 to 324.90106) by adding subpart 3 to part 147.
House Bill No. 4766 establishes a phased ban on plastic microbeads in products sold or distributed in Michigan, enforces civil penalties for violations, and mandates state oversight and annual reporting to reduce microplastic pollution.
