Introduced in the House

Sept. 29, 2020

Introduced by Rep. Beau LaFave (R-108)

To cut state social welfare benefits for one year from an individual charged with violence, looting, or vandalism during “civil unrest." This would include food stamps, Medicaid and cash welfare payments. If the individual was accompanied by a child officials would have to report this to a child protective service bureau. The bill defines “civil unrest” as “riots, acts of violence, insurrections, or unlawful obstruction or assemblage”.
