2016 Senate Bill 1046: Revise school district student transportation requirements

To require a school district that provides transportation to and from school for students for which it receives state aid to also provide transportation for other students. This would codify in statute what is already required under administrative law.   Official Text and Analysis.

To tie-bar the bill to House Bill 5758, meaning this bill cannot become law unless that one does also. HB 5758 would allow school districts to use a “sinking fund” property tax to buy school buses.
