2017 Senate Bill 600

Don't mandate medical marijuana "dispensary" shut-down

Introduced in the Senate

Sept. 28, 2017

Introduced by Sen. Rick Jones (R-24)

To not require medical marijuana “dispensaries” to close for three months or more starting in December 2017, which they would otherwise have to do pending implementation of a new licensure mandate. The closure and mandate are the result of an order promulgated under the authority of a comprehensive medical marijuana ”seed to sale” regulatory regime enacted in 2016 that imposes licensure mandates on marijuana growers, transporters, dispensaries and more.
