2017 Senate Bill 581: Criminalize texting while driving

To make texting while driving a felony subject to five years in prison if it causes the death of another person, and one year if it causes a serious impairment of a body function. The bill makes this apply to using the internet on computers and other devices that are phones, not including GPS device.   Official Text and Analysis.
