Introduced by Rep. John Reilly (R) on October 4, 2017 To require the Department of Treasury to reveal the names of the companies that in the late 2000s were selected to receive ongoing cash payments and tax breaks under an economic development program called MEGA. A number of firms are still receiving payments totaling hundreds of millions a year, and the bill would require the department to disclose which firms and how much they are getting, in both cash payments and forgone taxes not paid to the state.
