Senate Roll Call 153: The amendment was adopted

To prohibit the extraction of oil or gas from beneath the Great Lakes by means of "slant drilling" in which all drilling operations are performed from a site at least 1500 feet inland from the lakeshore, unless extensive new regulations are required.
