A bill to amend 1976 PA 399, entitled “Safe drinking water act,” by amending sections 4 and 17 (MCL 325.1004 and 325.1017), section 4 as amended by 2008 PA 187 and section 17 as amended by 2008 PA 188, and by adding section 17a.
Senate Bills 950 and 951 establish the Michigan Water Trust Fund to finance water infrastructure improvements, ensure safe and equitable water access, and create a transparent grant program and oversight board, contingent on the passage of related legislation.
