A bill to establish a social worker scholarship program for eligible individuals; to provide for the administration of the social worker scholarship program; to create the social worker scholarship fund; and to prescribe certain powers and duties of certain state officers and entities.
Creates a state-administered scholarship program offering up to $1,000 to eligible individuals retaking the social work licensing exam, with a focus on increasing the number of licensed social workers serving in Michigan's underserved communities.
