A bill to amend 1979 PA 94, entitled “The state school aid act of 1979,” by amending section 248 (MCL 388.1848), as amended by 2026 PA 25.
Expands the Michigan Achievement Scholarship program to include specialized transition programs for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities, clarifies award calculations and eligibility, strengthens reporting and oversight, and allocates funds for outreach and administration.
