A bill to amend 1949 PA 300, entitled “Michigan vehicle code,” by amending section 907 (MCL 257.907), as amended by 2024 PA 164; and to repeal acts and parts of acts.
Senate Bills 1089, 1090 and 1091 establish a standardized process for Michigan courts to assess indigency and prohibits the imposition of most court costs and fees on indigent individuals, thereby enhancing access to justice for low-income defendants.
