Whereas, June is recognized as Fidelity Month as a time to reflect upon and promote the enduring values of faith, family, patriotism, civic responsibility, and commitment to community that have long strengthened American society; and
Whereas, Faith, family, and patriotism have historically served as foundational principles that unite communities, encourage responsible citizenship, and help preserve the moral and civic fabric of our nation; and
Whereas, Strong families, active community involvement, and a spirit of service to others contribute to the stability, prosperity, and future success of society; and
Whereas, America’s founding leaders recognized the importance of morality, faith, and civic virtue in preserving liberty, maintaining self government, and sustaining a free and responsible society; and
Whereas, The state of Michigan is home to countless families, churches, veterans, first responders, educators, civic organizations, and volunteers who faithfully serve their communities and exemplify these enduring values each day; and
Whereas, Fidelity Month provides an opportunity for citizens, families, churches, schools, and community organizations to renew their commitment to faith, family unity, civic engagement, and love of country; and
Whereas, Observing Fidelity Month serves as a reminder of the importance of strengthening communities, supporting families, encouraging service, and preserving the principles that guide future generations; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the House of Representatives, That the members of this legislative body declare June 2026 as Fidelity Month in the state of Michigan; and be it further
Resolved, That all Michiganders are encouraged to observe this month by strengthening families, serving their communities, promoting civic responsibility, honoring our shared heritage, and reflecting upon the enduring values of faith, patriotism, and fidelity to one another and to our nation.
