A bill to amend 1936 (Ex Sess) PA 1, entitled “Michigan employment security act,” (MCL 421.1 to 421.75) by adding section 32e.
Requires Michigan's Unemployment Insurance Agency to electronically verify claimant information with multiple state and federal databases, implement strong data security measures, and report annually on fraud detection and system improvements to strengthen the integrity of unemployment benefits.
