A bill to amend 1936 (Ex Sess) PA 1, entitled “Michigan employment security act,” by amending section 54b (MCL 421.54b), as amended by 1993 PA 276.
Expands and strengthens penalties for unemployment insurance fraud in Michigan, broadening the definition of conspiracy, increasing potential fines and imprisonment, and enhancing the Unemployment Insurance Agency's authority to recover funds and prosecute offenders.
