A bill to amend 1956 PA 218, entitled “The insurance code of 1956,” by amending section 1915 (MCL 500.1915), as amended by 2020 PA 62, and by adding section 1202a.
Allows Michigan insurance agencies to charge insured individuals fees for electronic payments, provided the fees reflect actual processing costs, are transparently disclosed, and offer consumers alternative payment options without such fees.
