A bill to amend 1961 PA 236, entitled “Revised judicature act of 1961,” by amending section 2950 (MCL 600.2950), as amended by 2018 PA 146.
Amends Michigan's personal protection order statute to raise the age of legal responsibility to 18 and dramatically increases penalties for adult violators, making violations a felony punishable by at least 182 days to life in prison, while maintaining existing PPO procedures and protections.
