A bill to amend 1939 PA 280, entitled “The social welfare act,” by amending section 60 (MCL 400.60), as amended by 1999 PA 194.
Amends the Social Welfare Act to make all forms of welfare fraud and related failures to report information felonies with mandatory prison sentences, removing previous misdemeanor distinctions and strengthening enforcement against both recipients and public employees.
