A bill to amend 1976 PA 399, entitled “Safe drinking water act,” by amending section 21 (MCL 325.1021), as amended by 2006 PA 601, and by adding section 8a.
Amends Michigan's Safe Drinking Water Act to require public water supplies to implement comprehensive cybersecurity and physical security measures, establish incident response plans, and introduces significant civil penalties for noncompliance.
