A bill to amend 1956 PA 40, entitled “The drain code of 1956,” by amending sections 73 and 125 (MCL 280.73 and 280.125).
Amends the Michigan Drain Code to require timely notification and cost transparency to freeholders regarding proposed drains, allowing them a defined period to withdraw support and thereby increasing public participation and oversight in drainage district decisions.
