A bill to amend 1956 PA 218, entitled “The insurance code of 1956,” by amending section 2006 (MCL 500.2006), as amended by 2017 PA 223.
House Bill No. 5478 amends Michigan's insurance code to reinforce timely payment of insurance claims, impose stricter limits and transparency on payment retrievals from health care providers, and enhance protections and clarity in the claims process.
