Senate Bills 739 through 753 collectively modernize and harmonize Michigan’s consumer finance, commercial, and regulatory statutes by strengthening consumer protections, updating licensing, disclosure, titling, and enforcement frameworks, revising criminal penalties and sentencing guidelines, clarifying definitions across financial, environmental, lobbying, and identity-theft laws, and aligning state statutes with modern electronic, commercial, and regulatory practices, with most provisions contingent on the enactment of related legislation.
