A bill to amend 2006 PA 480, entitled “Uniform video services local franchise act,” by amending section 1 (MCL 484.3301).
Senate Bills 719 and 720 update and clarify Michigan’s Uniform Video Services Local Franchise Act by excluding certain internet-based streaming services from regulation, reaffirming existing franchise compensation requirements, limiting the commission’s regulatory scope, adjusting reporting deadlines, and requiring video service providers to regularly submit and update essential business information to the commission.
