An act to amend 2022 PA 81, entitled “An act to provide for the recovery or replacement of durable monuments defining the Michigan-Indiana state line; to create a commission; to provide for the powers and duties of certain state and local governmental officers and agencies; and to repeal acts and parts of acts,” by amending sections 5, 7, 11, and 13 (MCL 54.315, 54.317, 54.321, and 54.323); and to repeal acts and parts of acts.
Senate Bill No. 595 amends the Michigan-Indiana State Line Remonumentation Act to expand the commission’s authority, revise funding and procurement processes, and extend the act’s repeal date to 2030, thereby supporting continued and collaborative efforts to accurately survey and mark the state boundary.
