An act to prohibit government entities from disclosing information that will be used for the enforcement of federal immigration law in certain circumstances.
Michigan Senate Bills 508–510 and House Bills 4858-4859 collectively aim to increase transparency, protect civil liberties, and limit state and local involvement in federal immigration enforcement by prohibiting most immigration actions in sensitive locations, restricting the sharing of personal information without a court-issued warrant and requiring annual reporting, and mandating identifiable uniforms while prohibiting mask-wearing by law enforcement during public interactions except in limited circumstances.
