A bill to amend 1998 PA 58, entitled “Michigan liquor control code of 1998,” by amending section 409 (MCL 436.1409), as amended by 2020 PA 109.
House Bills 5083 and 5084 repeal Michigan’s existing tax and regulatory structures for wine, mixed spirit drinks, and beer under the Liquor Control Code and beer tax law, respectively, eliminating current provisions upon the acts’ implementation to enable a restructured alcoholic beverage taxation framework.
