House Bills 5040-5043 overhaul Michigan’s hemp and cannabis regulatory framework by creating a unified licensing and enforcement system under the Cannabis Regulatory Agency, establishing safety and labeling standards for consumable hemp products, repealing outdated hemp laws, consolidating grower and processor regulations, and clarifying provisions for medical, industrial, and tribal cannabis operations to ensure consistency, compliance, and consumer protection across the state’s cannabis industry.
