House Bills No. 4964-4967 overhaul Michigan’s hemp and cannabis regulatory framework by establishing a comprehensive licensing system for hemp processors and consumable hemp products, prohibiting intoxicating cannabinoids, consolidating oversight of medical marihuana under the cannabis regulatory agency, clarifying definitions and compliance standards for hemp growers, and creating pathways for tribal participation in the state’s cannabis industry.
