A bill to amend 1927 PA 175, entitled “The code of criminal procedure,” by amending section 17d of chapter XVII (MCL 777.17d), as amended by 2013 PA 124.
House Bills No. 4938 and 4939 strengthen Michigan’s criminal code by prohibiting the online distribution of material deemed harmful to public morals with strict enforcement and penalties, and by updating sentencing guidelines for property, personal harm, and public order offenses contingent on related legislation.
