A bill to amend 1966 PA 165, entitled “An act to invalidate certain requirements for indemnity in the construction industry,” by amending section 1 (MCL 691.991), as amended by 2012 PA 468.
House Bills No. 4879 and 4880 reform Michigan’s professional and construction regulations by streamlining licensing procedures, repealing landscape architect licensing, and prohibiting contract clauses that unfairly require contractors to indemnify others beyond their own fault.
