A bill to amend 1972 PA 230, entitled “Stille-DeRossett-Hale single state construction code act,” (MCL 125.1501 to 125.1531) by adding section 4i.
House Bill No. 4850 requires the installation of automatic fire sprinkler systems in electric vehicle parking areas of most new and existing multi-family and commercial buildings, with a 180-day compliance period for existing structures, to enhance fire safety.
